We regularly assist clients with structuring business transactions around tax-related issues.  In fact, we often work with accountants to properly setup client organizations.

For example, when structuring a business, we assist with S corporation elections and establishing limited liability entities.  See our publication on choice of entity. 

When you have a business, you may prefer to have the taxes "flow through" to your personal tax return.  This often permits a tax savings because the individual rates are lower than business rates.  There are ways to manage this through the type of business structure. Therefore, you can have the benefit of limited liability in certain entities, and, at the same time, the benefits of lower personal tax rates.  However, if not properly structured, these benefits will not be available.
